Cottage information
Wifi
The information is pasted on the router in the laundry room.
Sauna
Timer/time and temperature knobs directly on the left side of the unit. Should be turned on at least 45 minutes before use.
Wood stove
When lighting a fire, it is best to open the patio door in connection with the lighting so that there is plenty of air to get the “chimney effect” going while keeping the hatch open. Once the fire has started, the hatch and patio door can be closed.
Heating and ventilation
Underfloor heating. Room thermostats are in several rooms. Should be set to the mark (dash) to reach about 20 degrees. Turn with plus or minus for higher or lower temperature. Do not forget to reset to the mark on departure. Takes about 24 hours to regulate the room temperature.
Ventilation is FTX (Exhaust and Supply air with recycling). The unit is in the laundry room but should NOT be regulated. All bedrooms get supply air from vents in the ceiling, exhaust air is extracted from the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room.
Weatherization happens quickly and with the window fully open. IF the window is opened ajar (e.g. during the night), ventilation is turned off – so avoided.
Dishwasher
The dishwasher shut-off (water) is located on the kitchen mixer. Keep it in the ON position at all times.
The settings and program selection panel is located on the upper edge of the dishwasher door.
Extra rinse aid and dishwasher salt are stored in the cleaning cabinet. You must bring your own dishwasher tablets.
Cooker and extractor fan
The hob is an induction model with controls on the hob.
The oven is also controlled from the panel on the right of the hob.
The fan control is located at the back against the wall. It is possible to have only the lighting on.
TV
The TV in the living room is connected to Grönklitt-TV, which offers a basic package of TV channels.
There is also a chromecast installed, “TVn i vardagsrummet”, which can be used if you want to stream from your phone / iPad.
The TV in one bedroom can be connected to the antenna (Grönklitt TV) and electrical outlet. IF it is not used, the cords may be pulled out of the socket and hung on the TV.
There is also a SONOS speaker that can be used for music/sound. It is mounted on the wall above the kitchen cabinets. If the device that will play the sound is connected to WIFI, it should be found as the name KITCHEN.
Snow clearing and sanding
The house is connected to the community’s plowing service. This means that when sufficient new snow has fallen, the driveway is plowed by tractor. This only happens if the parking lot is empty.
Snow shoveling to the entrance and storage room is solved with provided shovels. Sand is not available.
Electric vehicle charging and engine heaters
Electric car charging is available and booked separately. Charging is best done at night to avoid blowing the fuse. Charged at 11A.
Avoid charging at the same time as the oven, washing and sauna.
Coffee maker or percolator
There are both coffee makers and percolators. Look in the cabinets if only one is produced.
Drying cabinet
Located in the laundry room next to the washing machine.
Washing machine can be used by guests. Excess detergent can be left in the designated container for the next guest to borrow. Instructions on the wall. Make sure that the electricity is turned on and that the WATER is connected before you start the machine. Program selection by knob on the washing machine.
Locks and door handles
There is a separate key for the patio door. It hangs in the key cabinet in the laundry room. To lock the patio door, the handle must be held in an excessively upward position when locking.
Ski storage
A ski storage room is available in a separate small building. Keys are available from Guest Services and an extra key in the key cabinet in the laundry room.
The storage room also has outdoor furniture, a cot and some play and ski equipment that can be borrowed if interested. Put back after borrowing.
Parking space
It is possible to park up to three cars. One car must be parked front/rear to the entrance and parallel to the road. Two more cars can be parked if they are one behind the other and the front one is close to the storage room. All cars must be removed if ploughing is to take place.
Waste management
In Orsa Grönklitt, we have waste sorting for household garbage, and as a guest, you participate in sorting your waste. In the cabin, there is a container for compost and a trash bin for combustible waste. This garbage should be disposed of at the environmental station that your cabin belongs to. Everything else should be sorted and disposed of at the recycling station, which you can find marked on the map in your arrival envelope. There is also a check-in newspaper with more information.

Check-out
If you have booked departure cleaning, check-out must be no later than 10:00 on the day of departure. If you have not booked departure cleaning, the check-out time is at 11.00.
Keys are returned in designated key cabinets/boxes.

Error reporting
Any errors that occur during your stay should be reported to the Reception as soon as possible, so we have a chance to fix the error.
If you have any concerns about the cleanliness of the cottage, please contact Reception no later than 11:00 on the day after your arrival to arrange a time for inspection. Please do not clean yourself.
