Sauna
There’s both electric and wood-fired sauna.
Electric is preferable time-wise. Set the timer and let it heat up. If you want it hotter and cozier, switch to wood later.
Wood stove
Don’t keep the stove burning for too long—once it’s hot, it gives off heat for a long time. If you fire it correctly, adding logs 2–3 times is enough to get the stove hot; the heat lingers for several hours afterward. Tips for firing can be found in the black A4 binder.
Heating and ventilation
The house regulates heat naturally and it’s not possible or allowed to change the settings. Temperatures are usually very stable, but due to the wall thickness the house can feel too warm or too cold during sudden outdoor temperature shifts. If it’s too warm, ventilate; if it’s too cold, light a fire. It’ll balance out after a day or so.
Dishwasher
Dishwasher: The controls are on the top edge of the door. Press Start and select a program (P2 is usually good; P5 and P6 are faster but leave dishes wetter). Close the door and turn on the water (knob by the tap, the notch should point up). A red light on the floor means it’s running. When the light turns green, it’s done.
Don’t forget to turn off the water before departure (notch to the right).
Cooker and extractor fan
Press the start button to light up the controls on the hob. Adjust settings by touching them with your fingers.
If the fan light blinks every other second, the grease filter needs washing. If it blinks twice per second, the carbon filter needs replacing. Carbon filters are in the cleaning closet.
TV
Grönklitt’s TV channels are available. There’s also an Apple TV if you have a login (silver remote). Use your own account and remember to remove it before you leave.

Snow clearing and sanding
Driveways are cleared as needed during general snow removal.
Balcony and walkways aren’t shoveled. Tools are by the entrance and in the ski storage shed.
Electric vehicle charging and engine heaters
Engine heaters with timers (2 units) are on the north facade. (Note: Do not use as EV chargers—fire hazard.)
Coffee maker or percolator
Both a coffee maker and an electric kettle are in the kitchen.
Drying cabinet
Yes.
Tip: After using the sauna, it’s great to dry clothes here instead, using the drying rack.
Locks and door handles
Doors lock from both inside and outside. Leave a key in the lock at night to make evacuation easier.The same key opens the main door, patio door, and wax room.The first door on the left after the hall is a private storage room and can’t be opened with the rental keys. Same for the shed storage.
Balcony doors: Turn the handle 90 degrees to open. Turn it 180 degrees for the ventilation position. To close after ventilation mode, you may need to press the top edge of the door for it to latch.
Ski storage
Shed right by the entrance. The padlock key is by the black board inside the front door (in the wooden block).
There are extra snow shoveling tools here too.
Parking space
3 spots at the south entrance and 2 at the north.
Waste management
In Orsa Grönklitt, we have waste sorting for household garbage, and as a guest, you participate in sorting your waste. In the cabin, there is a container for compost and a trash bin for combustible waste. This garbage should be disposed of at the environmental station that your cabin belongs to. Everything else should be sorted and disposed of at the recycling station, which you can find marked on the map in your arrival envelope. There is also a check-in newspaper with more information.

Check-out
If you have booked departure cleaning, check-out must be no later than 10:00 on the day of departure. If you have not booked departure cleaning, the check-out time is at 11.00.
Keys are returned in designated key cabinets/boxes.

Error reporting
Any errors that occur during your stay should be reported to the Reception as soon as possible, so we have a chance to fix the error.
If you have any concerns about the cleanliness of the cottage, please contact Reception no later than 11:00 on the day after your arrival to arrange a time for inspection. Please do not clean yourself.
